1970’s is when hip hop music came out, manipulating sounds to create music with an upbeat drum. In old school hip-hop it was filled with break dances and funk styles. Such as the Harlem shake, snap dance, and gangsta walking. But with new school it is filled with nothing but cuss words, degrading women, money, drugs, and promoting violence. Everyone wants to become a rapper and really can’t grasp what it means to become one. Kids these days are dropping out of schools to take a one in a million shot on becoming a successful rapper. The old school rappers rap about whats going on in the world and how things have to change, while the new school rappers rap about what the people want to hear. Hip-Hop/Rap has gotten to a point where we are accepting mumble rappers and preferring the beat over the rapper.

Hi my name is Marquis Rogers and I am a musicophile. Which means I love to listening to music. Ever since I was a kid I fell in love with music so much that I joined my church's choir and I'm still there til this very day. To me music is one of the greatest thing that's ever been created , because it has so much power to influence the entire world with just one song. View all posts by marquisrogers
